Network Marketing, it’s tough going it alone! Well I hear you say, I thought that was the whole idea of the network part, that you were not alone? And you know what, you are both right and wrong, let me explain.
Depending on how you entered network marketing or indeed if you are still sitting on the wings and considering a career in this industry, you need to address this issue at some stage, so I figure it may as well be right now.
Network marketing is both the most rewarding and frustrating industry all rolled into one. The reason most likely is because of its very nature and the fact that we are dealing primarily with people, their feelings and emotions, needs and wants, preferences, challenges, you name it, we deal with them.
So what has all this got to do with the subject, well everything! Because of the history or previous life experiences, people come to the network marketing table with certain preconceived ideas about how it all works. Some people are naturally loners and like to work on their own while others prefer the constant company of others and thrive in a crowd environment.
This exactly is the point of this article, the big take away if you like, you come into this business alone, can choose to work alone or with others (I would suggest elements of both) and you interact completely with people either face to face, over the phone, on the Internet or whatever. You absolutely must be able to embrace both sides of the coin in order to be successful.
You will not reach your full potential unless you incorporate both aspects of working alone at times and also interacting in a group environment. This is simply how this industry works and will always work best. After all is said and done, we are in a people business! I will repeat that for effect, we are in a people business!
Personally, I naturally love people and being around people. I remember my mother telling me a little while ago when we were discussing my early childhood, that I was the kind of boy who always needed to have a friend to play with. And yet, my brother was quite the opposite, he was totally happy playing by himself and didn’t care all that much for company.
Interesting that we are all wired differently and yet, we all will need to be able to relate well to people no matter what personality style we represent.
Just make sure that you take the time to learn a little more about yourself and other people because this will pay major dividends for you in your business
.
To Your Continued Success

So true Peter!
I have never required much attention from other people to keep me happy. Yes it’s nice, but I am easily entertained on my own.
It’s exactly right to say that we must embrace both sides. I have been learning to embrace the social aspect of it all, and I’ll be the first to admit, it’s not easy for me. lol.
However, it’s important to me so I will do what it takes regardless.
Thanks for a great article!

Hey Peter,
Great job! The only time I like to be alone is when I’m working in my business and studying it to move it to the next level. As well, when I’m listening or reading to improve “Me”.
Besides that I really love working with the team and helping people move forward.
Chat with you later…
