Honesty IS the BEST Policy

“An honest answer is the sign of true friendship.”

I am able to recall many times throughout my life when this passage of scripture has become very real for me. This is true both on the giving and receiving side of the equasion.

Everybody knows that “honesty is the best policy” and because we want the best for our friends and family, then it makes perfect sense to therefore answer honestly does it not?

You have the best interests of your friend at heart when you are able to call them to account, offer a positive input or simply to share your heart with them. The key here is to do this with honesty.

If we only wanted people to say what we wanted to hear, then really, what sort of friend are they anyways?

Truth spoken in love is always the best solution.
