About time I got round to posting…

Hey everyone, Peter Grimes here and this folks is my first ever post on BetterNetworker.com (please, please, stop the applause)

I actually just had 2 private messages from a few BN friends who were connecting for shall we say Mary and asking a question shall me say for Sue.

Having just got home from a stressful day at the J.O.B. (yep, still got one at present), I somehow found myself here at the community and what a real pleasure to find a few private messages to boot, so thank you Mary & Sue.

Mary as it turns out used to live here in Brisbane where I am currently living but now lives in Central Qld where I once lived, role reversal. This got me thinking about how our lives can be one of role reversals and just exactly what it takes to switch, go a full 180 degress etc. And the very best answer my tired grey matter can come up with is, “thoughts, feelings, actions”.

We absolutely have within each of us the ability to control and therefore to change our thoughts. In fact, we are the only one of God’s creatures that can actually think about what we are thinking about, cool eh?

So if we truly want to change our circumstances, we we have within us the power to change our thoughts and by so doing, our subsequent feelings and in turn we will act upon these feelings as we see fit in any given situation. Powerful, truly, powerful!

My good friend Sue (well I believe we will be) on the other hand was needing to go a little deeper and to inquire as to, and I quote ” When you get a lead/leads what do you do after you call and establish a relationship with them.   You have to figure out if they are coachable, I know this and then what do you do??  Do you have any insight.

Well thank you Sue and yes indeed I do. Based on experience and also what I have learned in my shortish marketing career thus far, I was able to answer as follows. ” The leads I have received so far have all been email and name only. I haven’t requested their phone number as this tends to deter some folk from joining your list. There are always 2 schools of thought on this one, but I have opted for the moment not to ask for it. Having said that, I no longer try to sell or convince anyone to join my business. I used to do this and I was successful in gaining reps for my primary business, but they wudn’t always follow through. Rather, all we are looking for is a few key leaders who have a strong work ethic and are coachable and willing to take ACTION. I let them tell me they have these qualities by demonstation. To do this any other way is just plain downright hard work and we don’t need any more stress in our lives.

So you see, I really do need to thank both Mary & Sue for taking the time to write to me. This has prompted me to change my thoughts about my dull day and to focus them on you both. In doing so, I truly feel uplifted and as a result, have now created my first post on BN, fantastic!

So folks, be blessed and be a blessing to everyone in your world today as YOU may just be able to be a Mary or a Sue to someone you meet.
