Funny how you don’t pay attention to some things in your life until an event or special occasion opens your eyes. Just recently, I have been reminded of the power of momentum in our lives and of its significance.
On Sunday just gone, we had a great word brought to us at my local church, Westlife, by a guest pastor Tracy Skellern-Smith. Her big idea for the day was the need for us as individuals and corporately as a church, to use the power of momentum in our lives to bring forward the kind of results that we believe we should be displaying as Christians.
Then only yesterday, Brenda & I were at the movies watching Up in the Air starring George Clooney and again, the whole idea of momentum with aircraft taking off down the runway. And then to top this off, we watched a little tennis from the Australian Open and the commentators were discussing how one particular player was gaining momentum in his match.
Clearly momentum is a powerful and also extremely useful skill or attribute to have in different areas of our life. The same concept is also true in the life of a home business owner or network marketer. Have you ever felt the force after you have either gained a few customers, sponsoring a few reps or had success of some description on a continuing and strong basis? This folks is the power of momentum in your life.
Of course the question is, how do we gain momentum and how do we keep it going? I believe that the most important thing we need is to simply take action. Action repeated on a consistent and persistent basis will create the initial force needed. Once you are in motion, this creates the opportunity for momentum to take over the process. But first, you need to be in the game.
Do all you can with what you’ve got and let momentum be your new best friend. I would be very interested in hearing your comments, struggles or victories as they relate to momentum in your life. Make sure you take a few moments and leave a comment below.
To Your Success..

Hi Peter,
What a great post! There is certainly power in momentum and I think you are exactly right. Taking action is the only way to push off and build up to momentum.
Personally I’m taking action, but I don’t feel that I am in momentum yet. Although I am beginning to see a trickle of results… so like you said, I’ll keep plugging away, keep going, and soon it’ll build to the point of true momentum.
Thank you for an inspiring post!

Great point Peter.
There is great power in momentum creating a drive that brings forth the energy to maintain and keep creating momentum…but it all starts with action.
